The mission of Canine Acres is to improve the quality of life of all of our canine and feline guests. Whether your pet is here for daycare, boarding or a spa day our team is dedicated to provide you with reliable and quality services by caring for each guest as if they were their own.
Our experienced staff are people who not only love animals, but are also proficient in working with a wide variety of breeds, behaviors, and medical needs. Canine Acres is proud to say we are not a breed-restrictive facility. Our staff has experience working with geriatrics. or special needs, and puppies.

Hope Permann Manager & Groomer

Hope has served as the General Manager of Canine
Acres since 2008, and has worked with dogs her entire life. Hope has
trained dogs in obedience, and currently trains and volunteers with her
certified therapy dogs. She graduated from high school near Fergus Falls
and has also been working for the past four years as a resident manager for
college-age students. Hope enjoys her dogs "Promise," a Smooth Collie, "Reuben," a
Curly Coated Retriever, and "Sawyer," a German Shepherd Dog. |

Judy Wick Groomer & Boarding Judy started working here at Canine Acres in the summer of 2011 after a 21-year career in counseling and social work. She is originally from Wisconsin, and she and her husband Jim moved to Fergus Falls from Colorado about 15 years ago. Judy was previously one of our customers and has a 10 year old Beagle, Eddie, along with her 2 year old Kerry Blue Terrier, Meghan (Eddie was napping so not in the photo). Judy trains Meghan in agility, and she also has 2 cats, Wilma and Geraldine, both in their senior years. Judy also enjoys photography and is excited to be working at Canine Acres. |

Kayla Jarandson Boarding & Groomer Kayla is a sophomore in high school and participates in Cross
Country Running and Track & Field. Her hobbies include wakeboarding,
hunting, and spending time outdoors. Kayla has been working at Canine Acres
since 2011. Kayla enjoys taking her Golden Retriever, Sammy, on four wheeler
rides, walks, and out hunting. |

Sara Permann Groomer & Boarding Sara
graduated
from high school and moved from Colorado to Fergus Falls in 2008 when
she began working at Canine Acres. She currently attends M State Fergus
Falls for Nursing and works at Mill Street as a Home Health Aide. Sara
has two
English Setter brothers, Jake and Jackson, who are eleven years old. She
has
been through obedience training with both of them and enjoys taking them
for
long hikes outdoors. Sara especially enjoys being outside and spending
time with
her family. She also finds working with children very rewarding and is
involved
with various children's ministries at her church. |

Amy Sund Boarding & Groomer
Amy Sund
is a Fergus Falls native. She has worked as an LPN for 11 years. To pursue her
love of animals she worked at the Humane Society part time for six years before
she started working at Canine Acres in the summer of 2012. Amy is in
her third year of Pre-Vet classes at the U of M in Morris. Amy has
two dogs, "Scarlett", a Weimaraner and "Rocky", a
Miniature Pinscher. Amy enjoys
spending time with family and friends and being outdoors. |

Michaela Hauck Receptionist Michaela
graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 2011. She enjoyed being involved in
Basketball, Volleyball, and Track & Field. Michaela enjoys being outside
and spending time with her family. She has a Jack Russel Terrier Mix,
"Jack", who she loves to go on walks with. Michaela is also
following her passion to help people by pursuing her Nursing degree at NDSCS in
Whapeton, ND. |
